Not much to write about today. The sea was rather rough as we passed out of the English Channel into the North Sea. We tried to get some pictures of the sea hitting the ship and splashing up to our deck 11 balcony (!), but they don't do justice to what we experienced. No sea sickness for us, but there was a lot of very careful walking to avoid bouncing off the hallway walls.
As to activities, we went to a port talk about Bergen, Norway (our next stop) in the morning and Mary went to one about Lerwick (Shetland Islands), Scotland, in the afternoon while I played bridge. In between we enjoyed Pub Lunch with Mary having fish and chips while I had bangers and mash.
The first formal night was tonight with a nice dinner, with a featured raspberry-chocolate dessert. After dinner we enjoyed the "Do You Want to Dance" production show before retiring to our cabin for the evening. It was a very nice show which we have seen - and enjoyed - before.

Not gonna check the box 'Wish I was there' for this day. I think I would have been seasick! I could tell from the webcam (I did find it...thanks, Pat!!!) that the seas were choppy! About 6 pm your time they changed the direction of the webcam and now I can't see the ocean but can see what looks to be a tennis court or a golf course...and the movie screen, I think, and the ship in that direction. Can't wait to see photos from Bergen. Make sure to check your email about the Schjott store front. Love, Sylvia
That raspberry dessert looks yummy! We had special visitors at church this morning: Pastor Z and Bonnie. Pastor was disappointed he didn't get to see you and Mary and said to say hello. They are in town visiting Bonnie's niece and then continuing on to Wyoming for Pastor's Mom's 90th birthday, then returning through Alabama to golf the Robert Trent Jones trail. They look wonderful and are enjoying their Florida home -- Claudia
