Today was the start of our Alaska journey, with a flight to Anchorage via Minneapolis. This is our third time to visit Anchorage so we're not planning to spend a lot of time here. The map on the right shows our flight path into town.
Mary took this picture of the Wrangle Mountains ("I can't wait to see the Wrangle Mountains") from the airplane as we flew in. It was solid clouds for most of the way, but the pilot announced that the clouds had cleared so we opened the window shade and got a few pictures. The picture does not quite capture the true depth and beauty, but that's how pictures are.
