While we enjoyed London, it's nice to be be back on the Caribbean Princess like we were last February. It's been a pleasantly uneventful day, with an on-time pickup at our hotel and a smooth ride to Southhampton at 12:25. We quickly passed through Princess check-in, barely having time to complete the health questionnaire before being issued our cruise cards and getting on board the ship. We were in our cabin by 12:50.
After checking out our cabin we headed to the lunch buffet, then a brief photo-taking tour of the ship. When we got back to our cabin our luggage had already been delivered so we unpacked and prepared for the muster drill. We expected sail away to be at 4:00 as scheduled, but kept waiting and waiting... Finally at 4:35 six more passengers came on board! The captain then announced that we had to wait for 2 hours until the channel would be clear of freighters so we could depart.

I wondered what was going on...it seemed like forever before you started moving (I was spying on you via webcam). It was nice once you started to move but the port was downright ugly! Wonder if its changed much since my family emigrated from there in the late 1800s. I watched till you sailed of into the sunset and it got to dark to see. Headed out right now to sleep at JD B&B...later, Sylvia
I've been keeping an eye on your departure too and had a feeling you were delayed. Dinner sounded lovely -- enjoy your day at sea tomorrow -- Claudia
