Full day in NYC

 We had a very nice day today.  Good breakfast at our Fairfield Inn followed by a relaxing morning.  We will not miss these small NYC hotel rooms!  The hotel has 32 floors with just 6 rooms per floor. Our bathroom might measure 8x8, if being generous.  Mary's comment is that this will make the bathroom in our mini-suite on the Island Princess look huge! 

We enjoyed lunch at Schnippers, a local eatery before getting ready for seeing a matinee of Beautiful Noise. 
What a show!!!  We had first row center seats in the mezzanine which was quite close to the stage.  A picture of the outside of the theater is on the left, with a picture of a poster on the right. 
The setting of the show is Neil Diamond's discussions with his counselor. The show opened with the "old" Neil  discussing with his counselor, and they remained on stage for the entire show as Neil reviewed his career.  There was a young Neil who did the singing. Picures were not allowed, but I snuck one of the closing scene of Act I.  The entire cast is on the right.
Mary and I recognized every song, and audience participation was encouraged on many songs.  All I can say is I HIGHLY recommend you seeing it when it comes to your area. 

After the show we wanted some NYC corned beef so we headed to Juniors and shared a corned beef sandwich.   It was good, but a bit dry.  We were very glad we decide to share a sandwich as you can see how big it was in the picture on the right. 

So that was our day.  It was very enjoyable and we are so very glad we were able to see this show.  Tomorrow we head to our ship to start our 11 day cruise.
