Flying to Los Angeles

Our winter vacation started today with a flight to LAX.  We're here for a few days before boarding the Star Princess for our Hawaii cruise.  As we approached LA, we saw the Sierra Madre mountains poking through the clouds.  It was quite a sight.

Here is a picture of the Travel Buddy who has been coming along on our trips this year.  Her name is Carrots and she is waiting patiently for us to board our plane in Detroit.  Carrots is part of a project we're doing for our great-niece Sarah's 2nd grade class.  Mary takes photos of the bunny during our travels, and sends post cards and little surprises back to the class.

We're staying near the airport tonight.  Tomorrow we will be doing sightseeing in Hollywood and Los Angeles before heading to San Pedro, where our cruise departs on Tuesday.
